Students from Auten Road Intermediate School in HIllsborough got a chance to perform and raise money for charity.

The stars of the future shown brightly during Auten Road’s Got Talent program at Auten Road Intermediate School in Hillsborough Feb. 2.

Twenty-five different student acts sang, danced and even performed Tae Kwon Do in order to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Hillsborough Schools Philanthropic Fund.

“It is an opportunity for performers to showcase talents that may not be recognized during the school day,” Principal Christopher Carey said. “It’s a fun night out, overall.”

Ethan Griffith, a sixth grader at the school, danced to Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.”  When asked how he felt about performing he replied with a smile, “It was exciting. It felt like a spark.”
