Township Committee Launches New Year with Short Agenda

Tuesday's meeting could be year's briefest.

Any residents looking for an opportunity to share a rant at the Township Commitee meetings may have a good chance at stretching their time at Tuesday's meeting: with only a few items on the agenda, committee members might be open to longer speeches.

The meeting follows the reorganization meeting held Jan. 3, so it's easy to see why there might not be a lot of accumulated business. Normally, the committee addresses budgetary matters, tax overpayments and often, recognizes residents.

Tuesday's meeting includes a resolution appointing a part-time employee, another to provide a method for handling construction code fines, and a third to confirm last week's Resolution Run, as well as the introduction of an ordinance to repeal provisions for special police officers.
