Standing Ovation Follows Memorial Proclamation

Family of late Township Planner Robert Ringelheim hears tribute.

Michelle and Stuart Ringelheim, the wife and son of Hillsborough's longtime planner Robert Ringelheim, who died in June, received a standing ovation after a proclamation in his honor was read at Tuesday's Township Committee meeting.

Mayor Frank DelCore read the proclamation, which noted Ringelheim's contributions to the township's town center, transit village and Gateway zones, as well as the creation of Duke Farms as a public space.

"He had a tremendous, dry sense of humor," Mayor DelCore said, noting that certainly contributed to the high regard his coworkers in the township held for him.

"He really loved this place," Michelle Ringelheim said.
