Ratables Drop Due Mostly To Market, Reports Say

School board members stepped back Monday night from implying that part of the school’s budget squeeze might be due to an increase of tax appeals in the township, according to hillsboroughbeacon.com.

Will Haas now retract her nasty attack driven comments spoken the night the budget was presented? Doubt it.

bill I was present at that meeting and what Mrs. Haas was reacting to, as was just about everyone present, was shock and she rightfully asked that we start asking questions and not just take it on the chins of our students, Such a loss of town income hurts us all. Discussion by our town representatives should have occurred before the school budget exposed the shortcomings. What happened to being informed and transparency

Bill, are you kidding? If it wasn't April 2nd, I would think that your comment was an April Fool's joke. Sadly, it isn't. The drop in assessed values has no correlation to tax revenues. Did you watch this meeting where everyone except Ms. Haas stated they were wrong after a meeting with Twp and County officials?

haas overreacted, bordering on hysteria and based on her political leanings wasn t concernd about facts. thanks to the town for showing up at the next meeting a educating the board and the resident tax payers.
