Hillsborough's website has undergone a makeover.
Hillsborough Township's new and improved website is online.

Check it out here at http://hillsborough-nj.org

The new site "is more user friendly and easier to navigate," says Mayor Doug Tomson. But it's still a work in progress with even more enhancements to come, he noted.

Last spring, a poll by the Monmouth University Polling Institute ranked Hillsborough Township's website 136th out of 540 statewide, on such criteria like ease of use, the ability for citizens to interact with government, online services and social networking.

It's pretty, but it will be even better when it works. For example, if you want to check on the date of a meeting and the agenda, you go to "Government", then from the drop-down menu pick out "Meeting agendas, minutes&schedules", and what do you get? The Township eCode [the township code online]. When the new website is ready, maybe they can include more meetings than just the TC, BOA and PB...like the Environmental Commission, the Open Space Advisory Committee, etc. In fact, it would be great to have listed any meeting that is open to the public.

Susan, it's all there. Yes, when you get there the default screen is for the codes. However, if you just look on the left side of the screen you can find a list of what you say isn't there.

I started inquiring about the location of the meetings & agendas two weeks ago. Yesterday afternoon a HT employee was finally able to provide guidance. The previous meetings & agendas was so much easier - large, clear, easy to read chart. If it ain't broke... [Now, please tell me how to find the videos. Thanks. ]
