Hillsborough Democrat to Challenge Bateman

Vella seeks 16th district Senate seat.

Hillsborough Democrat Maureen Vella, of Montgomery Road, will challenge Republican incumbent Christopher Bateman, of Somerville, for the 16th district's Senate seat.

Bernards resident Denise Coyle will seek re-election to the Assembly in the 16th district, her hometown's former district. According to the New Jersey Division of Elections, Coyle listed her new address as a residence on Brookstone Drive in Princeton to remain in the 16th district.

Coyle and fellow Republican incumbent Peter Biondi, of Hillsborough, will be challenged by Democrats Marie Corfield, of Flemington, and Joe Camareta, of Kendall Park, in the 16th district Assembly race.
