Forum Aims to Help New Businesses Open Quicker

Businesses invited to learn how to navigate regulatory requirements.

A forum set for March 27 will offer information on how to meet the township's building and construction requirements more efficiently.

The forum is intended to help smooth the way for new businesses which require working in the township's regulatory departments, required when a building is being built or remodeled.

"We are always looking to further enhance the business community and believe that by providing this opportunity for the businesses to meet with the officials to discuss any concerns or obstacles they are experiencing will only continue to foster a positive experience for our local businesses," Township Committeeman Greg Burchette said at Tuesday's Township Committee meeting.

Burchette said the purpose of the forum is to explain "how the process should be followed to minimize and unnecessary delays in obtaining the required permits and authorizations."

During the forum, presentations on the services and requirements of the various township departments will be given, followed by a question and answer session and break-out groups where more time an be spent with specific department officials for more detailed discussions.
