Obama State Campaign Director to Visit Hillsborough Democrats

The next meeting of the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance on February 1st will feature a short address from Jackie Cornell-Bechelli, recently named New Jersey State Director of President Obama's re-election campaign. While her address will be brief, this is a great opportunity for area Democrats to find out how the Obama campaign is addressing New Jersey, and how you can get in on the ground floor of this campaign. The meeting, which will begin promptly at 7:00PM will be held at Avalon Assisted Living, 393 Amwell Road in Hillsborough. It is open to both current and prospective Alliance members, and will also include discussion of local issues, and upcoming plans and events at the local and regional level, especially in this all important presidential election year that will feature races at every level of government.

Focusing on transparency and accountability in local government, the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance provides all participants with an opportunity to discuss the issues facing Hillsborough, Somerset County and New Jersey as a whole. Members of the Alliance are also active in the community, and participate in a variety of community and charitable endeavors. If you are starting to think about the fall elections and want to get involved with your local Democratic club, please feel free to attend the meeting and find out what it’s all about.
