Election Preview: Hillsborough Township Committee

Five candidates are running for two seats in November's general election.

A pair each of Republicans and Democrats, as well as an independent candidate, will via for two seats on the Hillsborough Township Committee in the Nov. 6 general election.

For the GOP, incumbent Mayor Carl Suraci and is joined by planning board member Greg Burchette, who replaced Committeeman Robert Wagner on the ticket when Wagner withdrew his name after he accepted a position with the New Jersey Department of Labor.

The Democrats will present Democratic Committee Chairman Michael Goldberg and successful Democratic primary write-in candidate James Farley.

Also on the ballot running on the Independent ticket will be political newcomer Judd Mandell.
