Credit Card Committee Opens Fifth Round of Grant Applications

The Credit Card Advisory Committee opened the fifth round of grant applications for non-profit, youth and senior citizens' groups.

The application process for grants awarded by the township’s credit card program is open for the fifth time this year.

The applications are open to non-profit senior and youth organizations. Applications can be downloaded from the Township website, www.hillsborough-nj.org.

The application due date is Oct. 14.  All grant funding comes from the credit card program.

Established in 2001 as the Hillsborough credit card program and taken over by Affinity Federal Credit Union in 2008, the program allows residents to sign up for a special credit card.  Under the current program, a portion of the usage fees on the card are donated back to youth, non-profit, and senior citizens groups in the township, through the Hillsborough Credit Card trust fund.  The township’s Credit Card Advisory Committee determines the organizations that will receive the funds.
