Two Burglaries Net $35K in Stolen Items

Residents report houses entered during daytime on Dec. 28.

Hillsborough police say a pair of burglaries on Dec. 28 netted thieves more than $35,000 in stolen items.

The first incident occurred on Murphy Drive, with the house entered sometime during the day. The residents reported discovering jewelry and cash totaling $14,400 in value taken in the incident.

The second report came from a Matthew Road resident, who said jewelry valued at $21,000 was taken from the house sometime during the day.

Police are continuing to investigate the incidents.
