Underage Alcohol Sting Nabs 3 Hillsborough Residents

Undercover operation yields arrests outside Country Corner Liquor Store.

Three Hillsborough men between 18 and 20 were charged with underage possession of alcohol in a 40-minute span after undercover officers observed them exiting the Country Corner Liquor Store with booze in hand, police said.

Police stake out local liquor stores during the holiday season and at other times of the year, sometimes working as clerks in the stores—or as in last week's incidents, observing customers outside the stores—to watch for underage purchases and possession, according to a press release from Hillsborough Police.

The three men were charged between 9:24 p.m. and 10:03 p.m. Nov. 27.

"Holiday season and other times of year" ??? It goes on all year every single night. This should not be considered a sting, they should crack down on it period. Hillsborough is out of control with both drugs and underage drinking ( check the water bottles, most likely its vodka or Everclear in it).

These seem to be nuisance crimes until they become violet crimes. The police don't really do much, when they get calls regarding kids hanging out and drinking. There was a lot of vandalism over Bloomingdale drive and we were told that there wasn't much that could be done. They terrorize the residents of the condos over there and cost the residents a ton of money due to having security guards patrol during pool season. They should be thrown in jail.
