UPDATE: E. Mountain Road Re-Opened After Crash

Extent of injuries not yet known in serious accident late Sunday afternoon.

East Mountain Road was re-opened late Sunday night after a serious motor vehicle crash closed the roadway for more than five hours.

According to a Nixle alert released by the Hillsborough Police Department, the road re-opened shortly before 11 p.m.

The accident, which occurred around 5 p.m., caused at least one vehicle to be severely damaged. The extent of the injuries of those involved was not immediately known.

Hillsborough Police did not immediately comment on the accident.

Responding to scene along with police was the Somerset County Prosecutors Office Emergency Services Unit and the Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Department.
