Residents Charged with Receiving Stolen Property

Police trying to locate owners and return items.

Hillsborough Police are still investigating incidents of receiving stolen property after charging two Hillsborough residents with possession of numberous pieces of electronic equipment.

Juan Dominguez-Alberto, 27, of Auten Road and Arturo Vicente-Perez, 38, of Eves Drive, were both charged with third degree receiving stolen property following a Nov. 26 incident at .

Police reported responding to a reported disturbance at the gas station around 7:15 p.m. Nov. 26. Upon arrival officers reported that a township resident who said her computer had been stolen allegedly learned that it was sold at the Sunoco gas station. According to police, the resident demanded the machine's return, after allegedly seeing it plugged in at the attendant's station.  The manager, Vicente-Perez, refused, telling her to pay for it, police said.

Vicente-Perez reportedly gave the computer back after the woman called police. A subsequent search revealed that Vicente-Perez and Dominguez-Alberto were allegedly in possession of numerous pieces of electronic equipment, including iPods, laptop computers, GPS units, video cameras and Sirius Satellite Radio receivers, police said.

Dominguez-Alberto and Vicente-Perez was released on their own recognizance.

Police are attempting to identify and return the items to the owners.
