Police Investigating Thefts From Residences, Businesses

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hillsborough Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

are continuing an investigation into the alleged theft of cash, jewelry and electronics from a township residence in November.

A Pioneer Drive resident reported a burglary that occurred during the daytime hours on Nov. 28.

$5,444.96 of cash, jewelry, and electronics were reported stolen from the residence.

A Roycefield Road resident reported that a 1986 GMC truck was solen from the property sometime between Nov. 22 and Nov. 28. The value of the truck was reported to be $1,000.

A Raider Boulevard busines reported a burglary that occurred between Nov. 25 and Nov. 28. $2,830 of computer and office equipment was reported stolen. The Hillsborough Police Detective Bureau is continuing the investigation.

Michelle Jordan, 46, of Hillsborough was charged with driving while intoxicated while allegedly driving a red Toyota on New Amwell Road on Nov. 26. Jordan allegedly produced breath test results of .25 percent blood alcohol and was released after also being charged with failing to maintain a lane.

A Manville resident reported that her wallet was stolen from a cart while shopping at an undisclosed Route 206 store on Nov. 25. The suspect allegedly used a credit card from the wallet to make several purchases from stores located in Hillsborough and Raritan, police reported.

Stephen Hardgrove Junior, 37, of Hillsborough, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a report of a disturbance at a Route 206 restaurant on Nov. 24. Hardgrove was released after processing, police said.

Scrap metal was allegedly stolen from an Old Camplain Road business during the overnight hours on Nov. 22, police reported. The stolen metal is valued at $100.

Thomas Baker, 43, of Bristol, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated while allegedly driving a white Chevrolet on New Center Road. Baker allegedly produced breath test results of .25 percent blood alcohol and was released after also being charged with failing to keep right.
