Police Chief: No Other Bear Sightings Reported

Animal was seen Tuesday night on Beekman Lane, Triangle Road and Auten Road.

The black bear that was Tuesday night has not been reported seen since, Hillsborough's police chief said.

The bear was seen roaming in the areas of Beekman Lane, Triangle Road and Auten Road, according to a Nixle alert released by the Tuesday night at about 9 p.m. There were no reports of aggression, the alert said.

"In the past, they do cover a lot of ground and would not be surprised if he is out of our area," Hillsborough Police Chief Paul Kaminsky said Thursday.
