Police Charge Two for Providing False Information

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hillsborough Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A New Brunswick man and a Bridgewater resident each were charged by Hillsborough Police for providing false information about their identities.

Daryll Jackson, 24, of New Brunswick, and Salieta Byrd, 19, of Bridgewater, were both charged with obstruction of justice after allegedly providing false information while Hillsborough officers were investigating another incident on July 5.

The unspecified incident occured in Bridgewater, and police were attempting to locate suspects, they said.

Byrd was released after processing. Jackson was turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department for unspecified outstanding warrants, police said.

A 50-year-old Hillsborough resident reported that $240 in cash was stolen from a locker at an undisclosed gym on Route 206 on July 31.

A manager at Reckitt and Benckiser on Route 206 reported that two laptops were stolen from an office between July 15 and July 18. The laptops are valued at $3,600 total.

Susan Fernicola, 51, of Hillsborough, was charged with shoplifting from Kohls on July 10, according to Hillsborough Police. According to police, Fernicola was observed by store security allegedly taking $479 worth of merchandise from the Route 206 store.
