License Plate Stop Leads to Possession Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hillsborough Police Department. It does not indicated a conviction.

An unclear license plate led to possession of a controlled dangerous substance charges for a Clifton resident, according to the Hillsborough Township Police Department.

Dixon Salgado, 21, of Clifton, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana following a June 14 traffic stop on Amwell Road, police said.

Salgado was released after also being charged with driving while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle with an unclear plate.

Andrew Hoffman, 25, of Raritan was charged for driving while intoxicated while driving a black BMW on Route 206 at 1:46 a.m. July 2. Hoffman allegedly obtained breath test results of .14 percent blood alcohol and was released after also being charged with speeding.

Yalcin Kucuk, 24, of Hillsborough, was charged with driving while intoxicated while driving a black Infinity on Millstone River Road at 1:24 a.m. on June 27. Kucuk allegedly obtained breath test results of .08 blood alcohol and was released after also being charged with speeding.

 

Alexander Karousatos, 20, of Hillsborough, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana following a June 25 traffic stop on Amwell Road. Karousatos was released after also being charged with having a headlight out, driving while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and underage possession of an alcoholic beverage.
