Woman Killed When Car Hit by Hillsborough Man's Truck

Dump truck strikes car at intersection of Route 1 and Promenade Boulevard in South Brunswick.

Jay Tublin, 46, of Hillsborough, was involved in a crash on Route 1 that claimed the life of Laura Bartlett, 60, of South Brunswick.

South Brunswick police said Bartlett was killed instantly when her car was struck as she attempted to make a left hand turn onto Route 1 south from Route 522.

As she made the turn, her 1996 Subaru was struck by a 2005 Mac dump truck driven by Tubin that was headed east on Promenade Boulevard, attempting to cross over Route 1 onto Route 522 east, police said.
