Cops: Teen Caught Performing Lewd Act

The following was released by the Hillsborough Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 19-year-old Hillsborough man was seen performing a lewd act inside his home by a mother and her teenage daughter as they drove past the South Triangle Road residence Monday afternoon, said.

Dax Ramos-Rosa was charged with lewdness after he was seen allegedly masturbating inside his home in front of the glass front door, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Ramos-Rosa was allegedly seen by a mother and her 14-year-old daughter as they drove past the residence Monday shortly before 4 p.m., police said.

Ramos-Rosa admitted to officers he was naked in front of the door, but denied masturbating, police said.

Ramos-Rosa posted $500 bail and was released, pending a municipal court appearance.

I feel dirty reading this on the Hillsborough Patch. I didn't expect news like this on here. LOL. Actually, I'm wondering if it even qualifies as news. After all the guy was in his own house, the mother and daughter were driving by and chose to look at him and then chose to call the cops? Seems a bit overdone.

The basic info was actually sent to all the parents (witnessing of a "lewd act"), at least of Triangle School, since it occurred on S. Triangle not far from the school and the police reported it to the school. So once that happened, it became "news".

Probably the only Hillsborough driver in a long time going at or below the speed limit in a residential neighborhood.

Doesn't he have a right to not have his name put out in public like that, while the people who called remain nameless! What he does in his house is his own business! People driving past his house have to REALLY got out of their way to even see something, let alone see what they claimed to see and how fast or slow were they driving!? something doesn't seem right here.

Why not just say the mother and daughter were driving by with binoculars, and were shocked to see a man and his penis. I mean what a ridiculous story.

I have to agree with all the comments above. He was in his own house and he did not make the mother and daughter who were obviously not paying attention to driving look at him long enough to know what he wasn't wearing or what he was or wasn't doing. Come on, this guy should have to be on the sex offenders list now for this ridiculous claim?

Doesn’t matter. Look I don’t know where the truth lies in this story. But I do know he cooked his own goose when he admitted to standing naked in the doorway! Seriously folks, put yourself in the place of a juryer. First it starts out his word against the mothers. Hard to get a conviction on that because it is nothing more than -- he said, she said. But wait, now the 14 year old steps up and says I saw it too, and all of a sudden it his word against two other peoples word. But, it is still hard to get a conviction given the situation. Oh but now the arresting office gets up and says he admitted to standing naked in that doorway. What is your vote now? Case Closed! Right, wrong or indifferent Dax is going down. Doesn’t matter how fast the car was going, how far the house is from the road, if they had binoculars or not. Two people said they saw it and he admitted it!

I have to agree with all of these comments. I live on a fairly main road and *gasp* am naked in my own home, even near windows sometimes. Should I be worried that someone might glance over and I will have to post bail? Absurd!
