Cops: Somerville Man Charged With DWI After Crash

Also: Woodshire Way resident reports theft of iPod from vehicle.

A Somerville man was charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident last week on Route 206, Hillsborough Police said Friday.

Alan Fernandez, 31, was charged with DWI, careless driving, failing to exhibit a registration and driving an unregistered vehicle.

According to police, Fernandez was involved in a two-car crash on Route 206 on Wednesday, March 14. Fernandez obtained breath test results of .15 percent blood alcohol content, police said.

Fernandez was charged and released.

  • A Woodshire Way resident reported an iPod, valued at $20, was stolen from a black Mazda parked in the driveway during the overnight hours on Thursday, March 15, police said.
  • Daman Pappas, 21, of Hillsborough, was arrested Tuesday at a Route 206 shopping center for a $7,500 warrant out of Franklin Township, police said.
  • Carlos Stevens Jr., 42, of Allentown, Pa., was arrested Tuesday for outstanding warrants from Union Township and Piscataway following a motor vehicle stop, police said. Stevens was also charged with failing to turn and driving with a suspended license, police said.
