Cops: Hillsborough Man Lied About His Identity

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bridgewater Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hillsborough man allegedly lied about his identity to officers following a motor vehicle stop last week in Bridgewater, police said Friday.

Clifton McMillan, 31, was charged with driving while suspended and obstruction.

According to police, McMillan was pulled over while driving on Feb. 29 shortly before 9:30 p.m., when it was found that his driving privileges had been suspended. When pulled over, McMillan said his name was Kumon, and was not the registered owner of the vehicle, police said.

Officers then found a driver's license in the name of Clifton McMillan in his wallet, police said.

In addition, police found McMillan had an outstanding warrant out of South Brunswick for $400, police said.

McMillan posted bail and was released.
