Burglaries, Attempted Break-Ins Hit 4 Homes in 8 Days

Hillsborough Police probe incidents on East Mountain Road, Perrine Pike, Nottingham Way and Montgomery Road.

A pair of residential burglaries and two attempted break-ins during an eight-day span are under investigation, Hillsborough Police said.

The incidents occurred between Sept. 21 and 28 on East Mountain Road, Perrine Pike, Nottingham Way and Montgomery Road, according to incident reports released Friday by the police department.

Three vehicles—on Equator Avenue, Clawson Avenue and Auten Road—were also reported burglarized between Sept. 23 and 25, police said.

The string of residential incidents began when an East Mountain Road residence was burglarized during the daytime hours on Sept. 21, police said. According to police, $260 in cash was stolen.

An attempted break-in of a Perrine Pike residence occurred during the daytime hours on Sept. 24, police said. No entry was gained, police said.

A Nottingham Way home was burglarized during the overnight hours on Sept. 24, police said. Electronics valued at approximately $6,500 were reported stolen, police said.

An attempted break-in of a Montgomery Road home occurred during the overnight hours on Sept. 28, police said. No entry was gained, police said.

The incidents remain under investigation by the Hillsborough Police detective bureau.

No further information regarding the incidents was released.
