Alert: Male Asked Students to Get Into His Car

School district says four intermediate school students were approached Wednesday.

A male described as Spanish and in his teens attempted to lure a group of intermediate school students into a car he was a passenger in Wednesday afternoon, the said.

According to a district alert sent out Thursday at about 6 p.m., four students walked past a black Toyota Corolla with three or four occupants at the corner of Gemini Drive and Capricorn Drive Wednesday at about 4 p.m.

As the students passed the vehicle, one of the occupants asked the students if they "wanted to get in," the district alert said. The car then drove away, the alert said.

The passenger was described as a Spanish male approximately 16 to 18 years old, the district alert said. The stated the male was Hispanic.

The students were not harmed in the incident, which was reported to the school district on Thursday, the alert said.

The is investigating the incident. A spokesman for the department did not immediately return a message Thursday evening.
