Hillsborough Mother, Good Samaritan Killed In Middlesex Crash

Heather Laurence Manco, 37, was killed early Tuesday in Edison.

A Hillsborough woman and a trucker who tried to save her were killed Tuesday during a series of crashes on Route 287, New Jersey State Police reported.

Heather Laurence Manco, 37, was driving southbound at about 1 a.m. when she hit two parked tractor-trailers, causing her Acura to overturn and come to rest in the roadway, Sgt. Adam Grossman said.

The driver of one of the trucks, Owen Flynn, 62, of South Boston, Mass., ran to her aid, but was killed when a third tractor trailer slammed into Manco's car and also hit him.
