Hillsborough Among 17 Somerset County Municipalities Receiving Grants For 'Click It Or Ticket' Campaign

Several Somerset County municipalities received a $4,000 grant to participate in the nationwide "Click it or Ticket" campaign which began on Monday and will continue until June 1.

The campaign aims to get drivers and their passengers to buckle up in both the front and back seats of their vehicles by a encouraging a two week zero-tolerance policy among participating police departments nationwide. Currently, New Jersey's seatbelt rate stands at 91 percent. 

Below is a list of participating Somerset County police departments: 

- Bedminster PD
- Bernards PD
- Bound Brook PD 
- Branchburg PD
- Bridgewater PD
- Far Hills PD
- Franklin PD
- Green Brook PD
- Hillsborough PD 
- Manville PD
- Montgomery PD
- North Plainfield PD
- Peapack and Gladstone PD
- Raritan PD
- Somerset County Sheriff's Office 
- South Bound Brook PD
- Warren PD
