Community Corner

District 18 - Pinkin & Deignan for E.B. Schools!

As a resident of East Brunswick I am excited to support our District 18 Democratic Assembly candidates, Assemblyman Patrick Diegnan and Councilwoman Nancy Pinkin.   In their professional and civic activities, they have supported our community and our schools. As a former school board member in another NJ district, quality schools are important to me – and East Brunswick has always had one of the best public school systems in New Jersey.  Good schools are not only good for our families, but support our property values.  Assemblyman Diegnan has been an ardent champion of our schools as Chairman of the Assembly Education Committee, and fights for us to stop the special interests that want to weaken our public schools with school voucher programs and emphasis on unproven charter schools.  In a disappointing contrast, Mayor David Stahl has yet to take a position on charter schools and school vouchers despite the fact that he is also running for the Legislature.

I plan to enthusiastically vote for Assemblyman Diegnan and Councilwoman Nancy Pinkin on November 5t because we know where they stand on the issues that most affect our lives and the lives of our children.

I hope you will, too!
