Democratic Primary

To the editor:

I am writing in support of Thuy Anh Le as a Democratic candidate for Township Committee. When we worked together on the Hillsborough School Board I was impressed with her passion for improving the schools and I know she would carry that passion over to helping all of Hillsborough.  As a fellow scientist I also appreciated her ability to bring an analytic eye to examine each aspect of the schools and not just find problems but researching options and proposing workable solutions with long ranging benefits.  Her work on the Facilities Committee focused on using multifaceted programs that educated students to be innovative thinkers responsible for their buildings which would lower energy use and save the district money. Thuy Ahn is a friend but I will admit she kept me on my toes as the BOE president, insisting we not settle for OK but go for exceptional.  She pushed the school administration and I expect a similar work ethic, demanding the township administration both improve services and lower costs. Her tremendous input on the Sustainability Committee and work with the Township Committee helped the town achieve Sustainable NJ certification.  On the Township Committee she will be a watchdog for the taxpayer and push the town to make smart decisions.

Without reservation I recommend supporting Thuy Anh Le and her running mate, John Beggiato at the June 3rd Democratic Primary and for election to the Township Committee.
