Fred Keiper, Longtime Teacher in Hillsborough Schools, Dies
Private services held at his request.
Fred Keiper, a longtime teacher in Hillsborough schools, died Sunday.
According to the announcement posted on Hillsborough Funeral Home's website, Keiper did not wish to have a public funeral and the arrangements are private.
Keiper retired from the district in August 2012 after 43 years with the schools. At the time of his retirement, he was the health and PE teacher at Amsterdam School.
He was also active coaching at Hillsborough High School, and was inducted into the HHS Athletic Hall of Fame this year at the May 31 ceremony.
