Parent Technology Night On Student Use of Tech Resources to Stay Organized

Presentation entitled :My Child's 21st Century Trapper Keeper: Understanding Hillsborough's Digital Resources"

MAR 18 – Hillsborough Township Public Schools will host its second Parent Technology Night of the 2013-2014 school year on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Hillsborough High School auditorium. All parents, students, staff, and community members are invited to attend. The evening’s discussion, “My Child’s 21st Century Trapper Keeper: Understanding Hillsborough’s Digital Resources” will be led by members of the district’s technology education staff.

Topics discussed during the evening will aid attendees in understanding more about how Hillsborough students are using technology to stay organized, collaborate with peers, and enhance learning. An emphasis will be placed on understanding the digital resources students are using in the classroom so parents are better able to provide support at home. Discussion will also focus on student @htps.us accounts and how to use these resources on a home computer, tablet or smart phone. A demonstration on how the Google Apps collaborative environment works and how students share documents and calendars with staff will also be provided.

All who are interested are encouraged to attend. To register, please visit www.htps.us/ptn.
