ESL Conversation Group – April 28 at 7 p.m.
Sign up for our mixed gender ESL Conversation Group in the Hillsborough Library Conference Room. Ages 18 and older. Must know basic English.

A new generation is getting ready to collect Social Security.  Find out what you need to know to make the most of your retirement benefits.  Presented by Michael Aloi, a Certified Financial Planner.

 

Youth Services Programs from April 28 through May 3:

First Roots Music with Ms. Jenni  – Newborn to 3 years – April 28 at 10 a.m.

Join Ms. Jenni, a Kindermusik educator and owner of First Roots Music Studio, for an entertaining music class that helps your child develop language, literacy, social and listening skills in a fun, nurturing, family-friendly setting. NOTE: Parents, in order to provide a safe environment for our youngest patrons, older siblings will not be allowed into this program.

Story Time: Transportation – Ages 3-6 – April 28 at 1 p.m.
Help your preschool or kindergarten child get ready to read! Enjoy stories together and build language skills. No registration required! 

Volunteer Opportunity: Get Crafty! – Grades 8-12 – April 28 at 3:45 p.m.

We are looking for reliable teen volunteers to provide assistance during our Get Crafty! programs. Must have great social skills and previous experience with children. Volunteers will earn community service hours for their attendance. Space is limited to 4 volunteers per session!

Introduce the pleasure of books to your child! Join us for stories, songs & more.

Rhyme Time for ages Newborn - 24 Months – April 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Build brainpower! Join us for 20 minutes of nursery rhyme fun!

Creature Comfort Pets – Grades K-2 – April 29 at 4 p.m.

This is a Creature Comfort Pet Therapy Program! Children will read out loud to a 'Creature Comfort' pet! Each child will get 10 minutes of reading time while a rabbit or dog listens! Online registration is NOT available for this program – call or stop by the Children’s Desk. Please arrive early – if you are late for your time slot you will lose your spot!

Movin’ Munchkins – Ages 3-6 ONLY – April 30 at 10 a.m.

Join us for a creative movement program for the child and parent/caregiver! **Please note: An SCLS Release/Waiver must be filled out and signed by the parent or the child cannot participate in this program. Forms are available at the Children's Desk, or you can print one from our online calendar. Younger children are allowed but must remain in strollers at all times and cannot participate.

Story & Songs – Ages 2-6 – May 1 at 10 a.m.

Join us for an interactive story and some musical activities!

Story & Craft: Mother Goose – Ages 2-6 – May 2 at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., or May 3 at 10 a.m.
Listen to a story and create a craft to take home!

Free Comic Book Day & DIY Artist's Station - Grades 6-12 – May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Celebrate National Free Comic Book Day at the library! Visit the Teen Center to browse our free comic book and manga giveaways - 1 free book per teen. Get creative at our drop-in DIY artist's station. We'll have art supplies, drawing guides, and resources available for you to test your artistic skills on your own. Program available while supplies last. No registration required!
