Adult Services Programs from March 3 through March 8:

ESL Conversation Group – March 3 at 7 p.m.
Sign up for our mixed gender ESL Conversation Group in the Hillsborough Library Conference Room. Ages 18 and older. Must know basic English.

ACA Assistance Services – March 8 at 1 p.m.
Cognosante Enrollment Assistance Services will be available to answer questions and assist community members with signing up for the Affordable Health Care Act.

Zumba – March 3 at 7 p.m.

Zumba combines high energy music with unique moves that allow you to dance your way to a fitter you with exciting rhythms. As long as you are moving and having fun, there is no wrong way to Zumba! Please remember to wear comfortable clothing and bring water.

Yoga – March 5 at 7 p.m.

Have you tried yoga and loved it or have you always wondered what it is all about? Robyn Ulmer will lead a 4 week, beginner friendly, all levels adult class. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring water and a mat or towel. Dates in this series: 3/5,  3/12,  3/19,  3/26

Friday Night Movie: “Dallas Buyers Club” – March 7 at 7 p.m.

Starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto. Rated R.

 

Youth Services Programs from March 3 through March 8:

Monday Morning Playtime  – For Parents/Caregivers – March 3 at 10 a.m.

This program will have different topics of discussion along with recommended resources. Children ages birth through 36 months are welcome, there will be toys for them to play with.  Join us for some great social interaction!

Story Time: Colors – Ages 3-6 – March 3 at 1 p.m.
Help your preschool or kindergarten child get ready to read! Enjoy stories together and build language skills. No registration required! 

Tail Waggin’ Tutors – Grades K-4 – March 3 at 4 p.m.

This is Therapy Dog International's Program: Children Reading to Dogs! Spend time reading to Xena, a TDI certified dog! Each registered child will get 10 special minutes practicing reading skills while Xena listens.

First Look Books – Grades 6–12 – March 3 at 5 p.m.

Build brainpower! Join us for 20 minutes of nursery rhyme fun!

Divergent Party – Grades 6-12 – March 4 at 6 p.m.

Join us as we get ready for the release of Divergent to the big screen! Snacks, activities, and more!

Movin’ Munchkins – Ages 3-6 ONLY – March 5 at 10 a.m.

Join us for a creative movement program for the child and parent/caregiver! **Please note: An SCLS Release/Waiver must be filled out and signed by the parent or the child cannot participate in this program. Forms are available at the Children's Desk, or you can print one from our online calendar. Younger children are allowed but must remain in strollers at all times and cannot participate.

Science Zone: Density – March 5 at 4:30 p.m. for Grades 3-5, March 6 at 4 p.m. for Grades K-2

Finding Colleges That Fit You – Parents/Caregivers and Grades 9-12 – March 6 at 7 p.m.

Informative presentation to help demystify the college application process. Topics include: what to do before building a college list, the top 10 things colleges are looking for in an applicant, and the 5 most important areas to explore on your college visit. Presented by Rana Slosberg of Slosberg College Solutions, LLC.

Story & Craft: Robot Craft – Ages 2-6 – March 7 at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., or March 8 at 10 a.m.
Listen to a story and create a craft to take home!

Volunteer Opportunity: Lego Buddies – Grades 8-12 - March 8 at 2:45 p.m.

We are looking for reliable teen volunteers to provide assistance during our Lego Club programs. Must have great social skills and previous experience with children. Volunteers will earn community service hours for their attendance. Space is limited to 4 volunteers per session!

Lego Club: Create Your Own Masterpiece – Grades 1-5 – March 8 at 3 p.m.
