The History of the Delaware & Raritan Canal with Linda J. Barth

Saturday, November 9 at 2PM
Hillsborough Public Library Program Room B

Did you know that the Delaware & Raritan Canal was one of our nation's most successful towpath canals, carrying more tonnage in 1866 than the more famous Erie Canal?
Canal author and historian, Linda J. Barth will introduce you to the people, the bridges, the locks, and the aqueducts that made the canal work.
Adults and young adults welcome.
The program is free but you must register for this event by calling the adult services desk at 908-369-2200 ext. 13 or register online at www.sclsnj.org and click the "Programs" link.

Please visit the Canals of New Jersey Exhibit in the Hillsborough Library during the month of November.
