Hillsborough Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Hillsborough Public Library will hold their annual used book sale on Saturday, October 19 at the library from 10 am to 3 pm.  We encourage everyone to come out and find some book bargains while supporting our ongoing efforts to fund library activities and materials.

The Friends is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the library patron’s experience.  We accept donations of used books from members of the community and make them available for purchase.  Books are sold at the annual book sale in October as well as year-round in the “Friends Corner” just opposite the circulation desk.  The funds raised by the Friends are used to help purchase equipment and provide programs not otherwise within the library’s budget.

Recently, the Friends financed the purchase of a new Computer Learning Center for the Children’s Room as well as new desks and tables. The Friends also provided the funds for repainting the interior of the library and sponsored many of the adult and children’s programs held at the library.
