Kentucky Derby Day - Celebrating the Annual fund raising extravaganza to support the Resource Center of Somerset.
The Friends of the Shelter is pleased to announce the 26th annual Kentucky Derby Day to be held on May 3, 2014 at Baltusrol Country Club in Springfield, NJ.The event features live music, cocktails and gourmet dining as well as exciting live and silent auction in the exclusive Baltusrol Club House, reminiscent of the British manor house it was intended to emulate.
As the Kentucky Derby is showcased on the large screen, event participants can cheer on their race favorites.
Join the well-dressed ladies in big hats and handsome men wearing bow ties, sip mint juleps and offer friendly wagers in an atmosphere of "down home" Kentucky hospitality.
The start time for the Friends of the Shelter Derby Day Dinner and Auction is 4:30 pm. All proceeds benefit the Resource Center of Somerset, which provides help and hope for people affected by domestic abuse throughout Somerset County.
