Alzheimer’s Association Annual Mercer County Caregiver Conference

“Caregiving for the Person with Dementia: Things You Need to Know”

Those caring for people with Alzheimer’s or related dementia disorders are presented with a rare opportunity to hear presentations from highly qualified professionals covering: the nature of the disease and how it is diagnosed, legal and financial considerations in the long term outlook of the disease, and resources for caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter will present a half-day conference for caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s and related dementia disorders on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell campus. In addition to featured speakers, the conference includes informational handouts and an exclusive resource listing for Mercer County as well as a complimentary breakfast. There is NO FEE for attending. Those interested in attending must pre-register with the Alzheimer’s Association by calling 973.586.4300.


Conference Details

The annual Mercer County conference, this year titled “Caregiving for the Person with Dementia: Things You Need to Know”, will feature three presentations: 

(1) “Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and How It Is Diagnosed” by G. Peter Gliebus, MD, Director, Alzheimer’s Disease and Cognitive Disorders Program, Capital Health – Capital Institute for Neurosciences

(2) “Legal and Financial Considerations” by Victor Medina, Attorney at Law, Medina Law Group, LLC 

(3) “Caregiving Resources” by Rose Berger, MSW, Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter
