We asked our friends on Hillsborough Patch's Facebook page what they are talking to their neighbors about.

Diane Jones said she has been talking to her neighbors and friends about why so many local businesses come and go.

"I've been here since 1976 and we don't seem to be able to keep our businesses going," she wrote. "They all pick up and leave."

A reader sent a note asking about police patrols, noting she's been seeing a lot more cars patrolling or stopping drivers in recent weeks—which sparked a lot of conversation on our Facebook page. Some said they haven't noticed any changes, but quite a few said they've noticed more police and were glad of it.

Scott Mateyka noted he's seeing more vehicles crossing center lines on roads that ever (we agree!), so he's glad to see any added enforcement.

"It needs to be done because the 'not stopping for stop signs' is getting out of control and very dangerous," he wrote. "The texting is even out of control."

Cristen Depper Hoagland also said she's noticed more police on the roads.

"Kinda nice seeing what your taxes pay for," she wrote. "After the recent accidents, daytime burglaries and upcoming nicer weather, I expected to see an increase in presence."

What do you think? Have you noticed more police patrolling—or do you think it's about the same?
