Under a crisp, clear sky, hundreds of Hillsborough families headed to the municipal complex for Friday night's rescheduled annual Christmas tree lighting.
But make no mistake: the night's biggest attraction wasn't the tree, or the llamas and pygmy goats, or even Mayor Carl Suraci. The big man and man of the hour was...Santa.
Kids cheered and sang as Santa rode in on the back of a ladder truck, and anxiously awaited a chance to meet with him.
Parents enjoyed hot coffee, popcorn and kettle corn served by the Hillsborough Rotary Club, and music by Hillsborough High School chorale ensembles.
