Library's Folk Music Concert Rescheduled

Special Program: “Touched by Autism” Documentary Film Showing – April 17 at 7 p.m. April is National Autism Awareness Month! Triangle Elementary School special education teacher Tori Wargo will be presenting her documentary "Touched By Autism." This film showshow the Hillsborough community embraces autism through the eyes of its families, friends and educators. All aspects of the film were completed in town!

Tori Wargo has been named Outstanding Woman of the Year in Somerset County in the field of Education. She has beendedicated to activities to spread autism awareness throughout our community. Come join us forthis important and moving film!

Adult Services Programs from April 8 through April 20:(Registration required!)Friends Book Discussion - April 9 at 7:30 p.m. The featured book of this discussion is The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton.

Library After Dark with Spook Handy – New Date: Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. Don't miss Spook's live performance with uplifting songs that come from both the giants of folk music and his own ample supply of original compositions. The passion, purpose and spirit of American Folk Music are alive and well in Spook Handy's recordings and live performances. Refreshments will be served!

Afternoon Movie: "Skyfall" – April 17 at 1:30 p.m. Starring Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris. Rated PG-13.

Book Discussion: The Sense of an Ending – April 18 at 11 a.m. This novel by Julian Barnes, winner of the 2011 Man Booker Prize, follows a middle-aged man as he contends with a past he has never much thought about .... until his closest childhood friends return with a vengeance, one of them from the grave, another maddeningly present. Join us for ad iscussion and light refreshments.

Celebrate National Library Week at the Hillsborough Library! Stop by the Children’s Department and help us create a “book chain” of your favorite book titles!

Tail Waggin’ Tutors – Grades K-4 ONLY – April 15 at 4 p.m. This is Therapy Dog International's Program: Children Reading to Dogs! Spend time reading to Xena, a TDI certified dog! Each registered child will get 10 special minutes practicing reading skills while Xena listens. Online registration is NOT available for this program – call or stop bythe Children’s Desk. Please arrive early – if you are late for your time slot you will lose your spot!

Learning Adventures: Back to the Library! – April 16 at 4 p.m. for Grades K-2, and April 18at 10 a.m. for ages 3-6 Check in, celebrate National Library Week and learn some bookish facts about libraries!

Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Meeting – Grades 6-12 – April 16 at 7 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled meeting of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB)! Help us plan our upcoming teen programs and give input on what you'd like to see happen at the library while enjoying some tasty treats! Attendance at this program counts toward Community Service Hours!!

Art Adventures: Bubble Art! – Ages 4-6 – April 17 at 10 a.m. Get those creative juices flowing and take your own masterpiece home! (Some projects may be messy, so please dress in play clothes!)

Neshanic Garden Club: Shadow Box – Grades 2-5 – April 17 at 4 p.m. Join the members of the Neshanic Garden Club and make something fun!

Story and Craft: Earth Day Celebration! - Ages 2-6 – April 19 at 10 am and 11 am and April 20 at 10 a.m. Listen to a story and create a craft to take home!
