Ineligible Kole Grabs Democratic Nomination for Township Committee

Only local contested race ends with party-supported candidate winning nomination.

The only local contest on today's primary voting ended with Hillsborough Democratic Organization-supported candidate William Kole topping John Reddan, who was supported by the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance.

Overall, 1,418 voters particpated in the election, representing 12.26 percent of voters registered with a party affiliation.

Kole, whose 217 votes beat Reddan's 199 votes, is not eligible for the November campaign, however, after moving out of Hillsborough. The Democratic Party will move to have Lisa Drozd added to the ballot, instead.
