Rotary Fair, Couple Helps Needy Top Local News

After Courtney Newman and her husband Mike retired from running marathons for various cancer fundraising events a few years ago, they decided to keep giving back by creating the organization Steps Together.

The annual Hillsborough Rotary Fair returned to town this week with rides, games and food.

The Hillsborough Police Department will participate in the state campaign to crack down on drunk drivers: "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

Hillsborough outdoor enthusiasts will have a new event to take part in come early September during the Sourland Spectacular Bike & Hike. 

For residents in attendance at Rep. Leonard Lance's, R-7, town hall meeting, the biggest concern facing the country right now is the lack of jobs.

A crowd of nearly 2,000 was on hand at Duke Island Park for the annual Bayou Fest, part of the Somerset County Park Commission's summer concert series.

The Hillsborough Jr. Raiders are offering tickets at almost 50 percent of face value. You can buy them while helping out the group.
