Exotic Mixed Breeds Make Great Pets

If you're looking for a new "best friend," we've searched area shelters and rescue groups to help identify some pets in need of new homes. Each week, we'll bring you some of the animals in the area.

This week, we're featuring a handful of the pets available through Rawhide Rescue, a rescue group helping to find new homes for pets.

Rawhide Rescue specializes in placing abandoned dogs in "foster" homes while seeking new families. The group brings many of their adoptable dogs to  for the store's Adoption Days—the next date is April 23.

If any of these dogs look like they could be your next best friend and you'd like to "meet" them, head to the June 4 Adoption Day event at Petsmart in the Bridgewater Promenade. Rawhide Rescue—and other pet adoption services—will be there with some of the dogs available for adoption.
