Down Limbs, Power Lines Close Several Roads

Down trees and power lines have closed several Hillsborough roads while many residents remain in the dark Sunday afternoon.

According to a Nixle alert sent out at about 12:30 p.m., police advise motorists to avoid East Mountain, Zion, Longhill and Montgomery roads due to down trees and wires in the streets.

Between 500 and 2,000 Hillsborough PSE&G customers late Sunday morning. About 500 JCP&L customers were in the dark at about 11 a.m.

The Hillsborough YMCA is open for residents needing to use bathrooms, showers or needing water.
