New Low-Cost Fitness Center Comes to Manville

Retro Fitness, a low-cost, high-value concept that gives members an unbelievable, high-energy workout experience, is opening its newest New Jersey location at 114 N. Main Street in Manville. This gym is local owner, Bill Iovino’s third Retro Fitness to open in the region, joining facilities in Hillsborough and North Brunswick.

Following 22 years of service with the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant, Iovino began looking for a fitness center where he could workout in a comfortable environment. He came across Retro Fitness, loved the concept and instantly became reminded of his entrepreneurial desire to open a fitness center of his own. After further research, Iovino realized Retro Fitness’ business model was the perfect fit for his entrepreneurial passion.

Iovino encourages local community members to drop by the Preview Center, located in the same plaza as the new Retro Fitness Manville. At the Preview Center, residents can sign up for a membership at a reduced rate, while the gym completes the construction of the full-service facility, which is slated to open in May. Prior to the gym’s official opening, the community can sign-up for the $19.99 monthly membership rate and receive a $0 enrollment fee. “Retro Fitness amplifies what everyone loves about working out and integrates it into a friendly, non-intimidating gym atmosphere with unparalleled customer service,” said Iovino. “Members can change their lives for less than 75 cents a day—you can’t beat that price with our amenities.”

Retro Fitness of Manville will feature a more than 14,000 square-foot facility that blends vibrant color schemes into a fun, energetic atmosphere where gym members can comfortably meet their fitness goals. The location will offer a full collection of the industry’s leading, top-of-the line strength equipment and cardio machines, complete with individual flat-screen television monitors.

Adding to the excitement, the Retro Fitness Manville will offer a variety of live classes, including spin, Zumba, group fitness classes and circuit training, among other options. Members can also work up a sweat in the popular cardio movie theatre that houses a variety of cardio equipment instead of seats and plays movies on a gigantic screen throughout the day. In addition, members can enjoy one-on-one personal training, virtual fitness classes, full-service locker rooms, a supervised children’s playroom, the latest in tanning technology, a full-service pro-shop and a Retro Blends smoothie bar, all within an exciting and energetic social atmosphere.
