2013 Economic Vitality Award Recipients Announced

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset County Business Partnership has announced the recipients of the 2013 Economic Vitality Awards. The recognition is presented annually to Somerset County companies that have made a significant economic impact and have fostered economic vitality through job creation and retention, job training and retraining, sales growth, profitability and reinvestment; technologic advancement, and increased capital assets and influx of new dollars.

The 2013 Economic Vitality Award recipients are:

Primus Green Energy of Hillsborough for their significant growth over the past five
years, creating dozens of high-value jobs and attracting millions of dollars in foreign
investment.
M&E Engineers of Somerville for the company’s growth due in part to its leadership
position in sustainable and resilient engineering design, energy modeling, energy audits.
The Center School of Branchburg for their success in educating learning disabled
students with a strong focus on training to enable entry into the work force.
“These progressive and innovative businesses are being recognized for their respective roles in creating jobs and contributing to the economic vitality of Somerset County,” commented Mike Kerwin, President/CEO of the Business Partnership. “It is appropriate that we honor them at the Business Partnership Annual Meeting, the largest gathering of Somerset County’s business community.”
Rocque Dameo, second generation head of Dameo Companies of Bridgewater, will be presented the Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of his contributions as a community leader and benefactor throughout his career in Somerset County.
The recipients will be honored at the Somerset County Business Partnership 2013 Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Palace at Somerset Park, 333 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ. The celebration will begin with a reception at 11:30 A.M. followed by the luncheon at 12:15 Noon.

Admission is $75 for Business Partnership members and $115 for non-members if purchased by Monday, December 9, 2013 and $90 for members and $140 for non-members thereafter.
