What's Open in Hillsborough?

Let your neighbors and customers know you are open by adding your establishment to the comments section below.

Nearly a week after Superstorm Sandy put much of Hillsborough in the dark, many residents want to know where they can go for food, Internet, heat, and many other services.

So, help your neighbors and customers out. Let us know in the comments below that your place is open, and we'll add it to this list. Right now, we'll start with some of the bigger civic and government offices we know of.

So help everyone out, and we'll facilitate by posting this list for all residents.

Will Hillsborough be picking up curbside branches and limbs from the storm damage? Or will you be able to drop it off at their Public Works garage or something? Any idea?

Hi Dave! We have a post on the site where neighbors can help neighbors out throughout the county. Head here to post on that thread and someone may reach out to you. http://patch.com/A-zm95 Thanks!

We've reported beginning this past Thursday the Auten Road Facility is open for branches from the storm. The hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice. The township is asking residents to not bag debris. http://patch.com/A-zl2W

Update: Gas lines down to about 10-15 mins in Hillsborough as of about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

I am going to vote Tuesday, so i hope that the people who want to stay elected get some fed funds to do curb side pickup of branches. Insurance only covers so much and the storms of the past two years have bought down a lot of trees and branches. Homeowners are stretched thin and not all of us own trucks to take them down to the DPW.

That sure would ne nice if they did that, I would have to burn up a tank of gas to get them all there. Plus the extra saw fuel and labor to get them to the small size they require. Plus it will be a few weeks before I'm done cutting it all up, how long will they be open. Time to step up Hillsborough.
