Joes is the best. Need a good crust.

Yeah Papa Johns is a ridiculous choice! We're in NJ, pizza capital of the country (yes that's right NYers!) and you guys pick shaky chain pizza. Let me enlighten you guys if you don't know already: Victor's giant slice is hands down the best pizza in the 'boro'. These slices are built to perfection. Just the slices, oddly if you order a regular pie its just OK. Try those slices people!!!

i have eaten at all of them and what it comes down to is the lesser of evils

The fact that Papa John's has 30% of the vote when there are 13 other true "pizzeria" choices seems a little fishy to me ;) In any event, I voted for Lenny's. Newest joint in town and we LOVE their Classic Margherita pizza.
Shari Arcuri August 10, 2012 at 12:53 PM
They must have it rigged.
Shari Arcuri August 10, 2012 at 12:54 PM
What about Lenny's? They are pretty decent.
SF August 10, 2012 at 01:02 PM
Papa John's - They always have great deals and are very supportive of our community!
centurion August 10, 2012 at 01:12 PM
Popa John's is a second(third, etc.) choice even if I have a coupon for a freeone. It's just plain bad pizza.
sammy August 10, 2012 at 01:37 PM
Lenny's is a nice surprise... so is Uncle ZIA but Victors is the pizza place of choice
MB August 10, 2012 at 01:38 PM
Lenny's is the worst and don't try the chicken wings, they are terrible we threw them away. The customer service is nonexistent and rude. I complained about the wings and they promised to replace them and then the employee said the owner refused because there was a negative comment posted on the internet and he knew I did it. If they don't want negative comments they would need to learn some customer service skills and how to cook. AVOID this place and hopefully they will go away.

It seems that the pizza places don't use seasoning in the sauce or on top of the sauces. Alfonso's in Somerville has the best pizza in the area.

There aren't ANY good pizza places in Hillsborough which is a real shame! I'm writing in Justin's Pizza and Delucia's (brick oven) Pizza both in Raritan. Like I said it's a shame that I can't get any good pizza in my hometown....
chris rudnickji August 10, 2012 at 07:33 PM
what about primavera by kohls?
Jennifer D. August 11, 2012 at 12:22 AM
Papa John's is hands down the WORST pizza in Hillsborough. I wish I never even tried it once and wasted my money.
Papa John's August 11, 2012 at 12:34 AM
Thanks, SF. We greatly appreciate the kind words!

Sal's Pizza in the CVS shopping center is the by far best pizza in town. In addition to serving the best food, Sal is a great guy and his staff are friendly and helpful.
Alyssa August 12, 2012 at 02:05 PM
I vote for Papa Johns. Best pizza for the best price. Staff is very friendly. The rewards program they have to earn free pizza no one else in Hillsborough has. No other pizza places mentioned on here has a loyalty or rewards program to earn free pizza.
Mark August 12, 2012 at 08:28 PM
How abuot Alfonso's in Somerville- 5.00 pies on Mon, Tues and Wed!!!!!!!!!
Michael T August 12, 2012 at 10:33 PM
Papa Johns gets my vote! Open really late. Papa Johns deliverers to us when all others are closed. Even when I call minutes before they are due to close they always take my order. Not like some of the other pizza places on here.
maxine hecht August 12, 2012 at 11:38 PM
Angelos both for great pizza and great customer service
Papa John's August 15, 2012 at 01:43 AM
Thanks for the kind remarks, Michael. We truly appreciate it!
Papa John's August 15, 2012 at 01:45 AM
Thank you, Alyssa! We are honored by your kind words and happy you're taking advantage of our Papa Rewards program. Special surprise headed your way soon!
ralph kiner August 15, 2012 at 12:44 PM

Papa John's August 16, 2012 at 02:43 AM
Thank you, Ralph!

I have been a Hillsborough resident since 1984 and our pizza preferences have changed as new owners took over different places. But Angelo's is our favorite over the past few years - always consistent quality, always friendly and they are huge supporters of our community.
Neal Bobys August 17, 2012 at 02:52 PM
Lighning fast delivery, hot pizza, incredible frsh taste.
Neal Bobys August 17, 2012 at 02:54 PM
Fabulous taste. Delivered hot.
dg August 17, 2012 at 04:46 PM
I've lived in Hillsborough since 1991 and have seen pizza places come and go...Victors by far has the best "big slice" in N.J. I wish they would offer that as a take home/delivery option!!! I do frequent other pizza places in town as well but will not go to the generic Dominos/Papa John franchises since I believe in keeping small town alive! Please support our local businesses (especially the long established ones) to keep Hillsborough from becoming just another mediocre American town with no originality!!!
Kathryn August 17, 2012 at 05:56 PM
I appreciate the fact that Papa John's is the ONLY 100% nut-free pizzeria in town. I have met the family who owns the restaurant, too, and they are the kindest people you will ever meet. I can't wait for my little one to be old enough to work there.
Papa John's August 22, 2012 at 02:31 AM
You made us blush, Kathryn! Looking forward to seeing you and the little guy soon.
