A Taste of Yiddish Culture in America

Come celebrate the rich Yiddish culture and its delicious cuisine at “A Taste of Yiddish Culture in America,” a free potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 at Temple Beth-El, 67 U.S. Highway 206, Hillsborough.

As they say in Yiddish, “nosh” (nibble), “fress” (eat), “trink” (drink), “kibbitz” (kid and tell stories) and laugh the night away. Listen to Yiddish songs and share your family’s stories from the Lower East Side, the Workman’s Circle, and life in the tenements. Bring your memories, photos and artifacts to share—we will display them. “Schlep” (bring) your favorite Jewish food (parve or dairy) to share at the buffet.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, March 21, to Shuey Horowitz at 908-722-6875 or s_shorowitz@yahoo.com. Let her know that you willattend and what dish you will bring to the potluck dinner.
