Erickson Joins Somerset Medical Center Sports Medicine Team

Joins Sports Physical Therapy Institute in Hillsborough.

Jeff Erickson, PT, MPT, of Hillsborough has joined Somerset Medical Center’s sports medicine team, bringing more than 20 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation to the medical center’s Sports Physical Therapy Institute in Hillsborough.

Erickson has extensive expertise in sports medicine, evaluating and treating athletes of all ages and abilities, from high school and college athletes to Olympians and professional athletes. He specializes in manual therapy and shoulder therapy.

Erickson received his master’s degree in physical therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University where he was co-captain of the Scarlet Knights football team. A leader in his field, Erickson hosts a 15-credit continuing education course on shoulder rehabilitation for physical therapists throughout New Jersey. He has also conducted professional lectures on cardiac rehabilitation, therapy for patients with cancer and other orthopedic rehabilitation topics. 

He previously served on the New Jersey Board of Physical Therapy and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Erickson and his wife, Janine, have lived in Hillsborough for 20 years and have three children, Shane, Hailey and Jessica.
