Hillsborough is Smartest Somerset Town, Brain-Building Site Says

Lumosity's survey of users puts Hillsborough second in New Jersey to Princeton.

Popular brain-building website Lumosity ranked its more than three million users' scores on cognitive thinking test scores, and put Hillsborough at no. 40 in the nation—right behind brainiac-filled Redmond, Wash.

The website offers brain building games and tests, which it claims are based on research shown to help improve cognitive brain functions. In ranking communities, the site said the median scores for results on at least one of its five key test areas: speed, attention, flexibility, memory and problem solving.

Also, a minimum of 500 scores within the geographical area were needed to calculate a score. Hillsborough's score of 103.89 topped such nerd-havens as Madison, Wisc., and Ann Arbor, Mich.—and Flemington (which scored 103.81).

Lumosity first published a Smartest Cities report in 2012.
